Frances Wimberly
Director of Endowed Scholarships
and Planned Giving

On July 1, 2012, The Division of Institutional Advancement, the fundraising engine of Paine College, established the Office for Endowed Scholarships and Planned Giving. The function of this unit is to increase legacy giving to Paine College through the establishment of Endowed Scholarships, other endowment gifts and planned (legacy and bequest) gifts to the college.

The immediate attention of the office is to

  • Review current accounts
  • Engage in dialogue with each account owner
  • Prepare an electronic document summary for each account (to include but not limited to date established, information about the person for whom the scholarship is named, information about the donor, donor income to the account, interest earned and recipients of the named scholarship (2001 to current)
  • Establish the policies and procedures for endowed scholarships, other endowments and legacy gifts to Paine College.
