Everyone in the CSRA is invited to the campus of Paine College at the 15th Street entrance for a “gathering for giving”.  Paine has partnered with the Golden Harvest Food Bank, Toys for Tots, and Infiniti of Augusta for the second consecutive year to host the 2nd annual Paine College Christmas Caravan.  Dr. Samuel Sullivan, Interim President, and the Paine College Family will commence the opening ceremony promptly at 5:00 p.m. on December 3rd.

The Paine College Family invites organizations, companies, individuals, families and the entire CSRA community to visit the campus for the festivities.

“We definitely understand the reason for the season and begin with this spectacular event to get you into the holiday spirit,” said one of the event organizers Nicole Watson, Professor of Media Studies. It was developed as a reminder of the true meaning of a season of family and giving while inviting all who want to start the holidays right.

This must-see signature event will be led by a motorcade of beautiful vehicles from Infiniti of Augusta carrying Santa Claus, city officials, and other special guests.

The procession of cars will drive through the beautiful 15th Street entrance to drop off non-perishable food items for the Golden Harvest Food Bank and toys for the renowned charity organization, Toys for Tots.   Paine College firmly believes that giving is the greatest gift and wants to welcome all of those who will help them provide for others.  The atmosphere will be reminiscent of a holiday village with the front lawn lit and live for this festive celebration.  Choirs, praise dancers, holiday ornaments, hot chocolate, baked goods, a vendors market, and plenty of big ticket giveaways, will make it a-can’t miss event.

“The finishing touch will be faculty, staff, alumni, and students on hand to thank our community of family and friends for helping us throughout the year,” commented Professor Watson.

The week also includes Christmas at Paine with the Paine College Concert Choir on December 4th, and Pack the Pews on December 5th.
