Augusta, GA-   The Paine College men’s and women’s basketball team returns to action in Carter Gymnasium, today, January 20, 2011 in an exciting double-header against LeMoyne-Owen College Magicians. Tip-off for the Lady Lions is set for 5:30 PM, with the Lions immediately following.

The Lady Lions enter the SIAC conference contest with an overall record 1-13; 1-10 SIAC Conference. Their opponents, the Lady Magicians enter with a 4-10 overall; 4-7 SIAC Conference record.
The Lady Lions return home after losing on a two game road swing to Fort valley State University (45-61) and Albany State University (59-79).

The Lions return to action after losing three on the road including Fort Valley State University (53-63), Albany State University (63-64), and Morehouse College (72-78).  With the defeats, the Lions’ enter the contest with a 5-9 overall and 5-8 SIAC record.  The Magicians enter with a 3-11 overall; 3-8 SIAC Conference records.

With the return to Carter Gymnasium, both the Lions and Lady Lions will try for a much needed win.

Paine College students with valid I.D. will be admitted free, visiting students $5.00 with I.D., and general admission is $7.00.
