Established in 2001, the Leadership Institute for Ethnic Minority Males and Females was created to address the critical shortage of senior level professionals of color in athletics administration at NCAA member colleges and universities and athletics conference offices.

"I would like to thank Paine College and the NCAA for supporting me in the Leadership Institute for Ethnic Minority Males and Females.  The opportunity to participate in this program was outstanding.  The Leadership Institute has given me a unique opportunity to engage with other professionals in this industry who are striving to accomplish similar goals."

The Institute takes the administrators through 12 months of training and skills development that will enhance their job-related competencies in four specific program areas of Leadership and Administration, Human Resource Management, Finance and Fundraising, and Booster, Public, and Media Relations.  The leadership academy concluded with a weeklong session focusing on Inner Game of Leadership.
