Atlanta, GA- Three Lions scored in double figures, Tuesday March 2, 2010, but it wasn’t enough to defeat the Rams of Albany State University.  With this being the third meeting for the Lions and Rams in the 2009-2010 basketball season, the Lions were sure the third time would be the charm.  The Lions lost once again and ended the 2009-10 basketball season at the 77th SIAC Basketball tournament held at Forbes Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Julian English led the way for the Lions with 16 points and seven rebounds.  Marcus McDaniel would follow with 14 points, and second-team All-Conference member Geno Green added 13 points in the 66-62 loss.

The Lions shot 42 percent from the field, outrebounded the Rams 42-27, but the Rams got 22 of their 66 points from the charity stripe with 31 attempts.  The Lions got just 13 attempts at the free throw line, and converted on 11.

With the loss, the Lions end their season 8-20 overall and 8-16 SIAC Conference.

Turett O'Neal led for the Rams with 19 points.
