William T. White to serve as keynote speaker for BEEP Week Assembly

(Augusta, GA)- William T. White IV will serve as keynote speaker as the Department of Business Administration host Black Executive Exchange Program. The assembly program will take place on Wednesday,October 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial Chapel. 

The Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP) is a voluntary partnership between the NUL, corporate America, government, non-profits, and other institutions to loan African-American executives to participating colleges as "Visiting Professors." Visiting Professors lecture in credit-bearing courses that correspond to their industries and participate in other BEEP-related activities such as networking sessions, workshops and mock job interviews.

About William T. White IV 

White has assumed the risk of owning and operating his own business.  Born an entrepreneur he was formally introduced to the world of business ownership in 1992 as a member of the South West Atlanta Youth Business Organization (SWAYBO). While apart of this group White created a religious and inspirational t-shirt company.   He later served as the president of SWAYBO and led the effort to take the group to Ghana and Senegal, West Africa.  

After graduating high school in 1998, he earned the Outstanding Georgia Citizen and the Outstanding Leadership awards by the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.  He then decided to attend Hampton University and graduated with honors with a degree in Entrepreneurship. While at Hampton he was accepted in the Inroads program and subsequently interned at Bank of America and Georgia Pacific.  While interning at Bank of America he analyzed unsecured loan root causes and reduced unsecured loan amounts from 1.4 to 1.2 million dollars in the east Atlanta region. 

At Georgia Pacific, White worked in the procurement department and participated in supplier negations, director meeting and online supplier auctions.  His internship culminated with a presentation at a conference sponsored by the National Association of Purchasing Managers on supplier diversity strategies.   After graduating, White worked for Johnson and Johnson as a Safety and Environmental Analyst and then later as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative.   After a 4 -year stent in corporate America he decided to leave and formally start his own company, Thomas Investments, a full service real estate investment company, that to date has purchased and sold more than a million dollars worth or real estate.  Two years later White established a second company, Thomas Vending Group.  Most recently he has partnered to create an inventions company focused on car safety equipment called Safety First Solutions. The company’s first product was launched in May 2011 and it is called the Driver’s Alert. 

White is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the Prince Hall Shrine.  He currently volunteers his time at the South West Atlanta Youth Business Organization and at the First African Church Young Men’s Rites of Passage Program.  He believes that achievement, service and a strong since of your history are the keys to success.

Ms. Tomyka Chaney to serve as keynote speaker for Paine College BEEP Week Assembly program

(Augusta, GA)- The Paine College Black Executive Exchange Program (B.E.E.P.) will host assembly on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial Chapel.  Ms. Tomyka Chaney, Executive Director of Best BOOM! Strategies will serve as the keynote speaker.

Chaney is a motivational speaker and Executive Director of Best BOOM! Strategies, a division of Chaney Consulting and Advisory. She has he has over 12 years experience including being a award winning Business Development Manager and Solutions Sales Consultant with several fortune 500 companies like Xerox, Sprint Global Markets, Delta Air Lines, Manpower, Cox and Gannet Communications.

 As a native of Atlanta, Georgia and a Public Relations graduate of Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia, her professionalism and business acumen has yielded many high revenue contracts and business relationships throughout a cross-section of industries such as Mass Communication, Telecommunications, Finance, Data Solutions, Employment and Education.

Chaney is also an advocate for volunteerism and currently volunteers her training and development skills at the South Dekalb YMCA. She also serves on the Dekalb Juvenile Court Judicial Panel for termination of parental rights where she is instrumental in the quality of life for foster care children in Dekalb County communities. These organizations are very close to her heart and are integral in supporting the family structure for our youth.

In addition, as former Youth President for eight years and currently as Vice President of the Christian Women Auxiliary, she continues to speak and create outreach programs.  She has also held a number of leadership positions on the State level in her Christian organization.

She has spoken and presented to current college students at the Paine College B.E.E.P. Program, Paine College Rotary Club and several speaker series events is the Atlanta metro area. In fact, she has helped motivate prospective college students at several local colleges and universities, where she was instrumental in inspiring students through Best BOOM! Strategies workshops and seminars that helped change their lives and begin a career path for themselves. She has worked with 900 students and alumni in motivating them to weather the current economy by creating a job club that was hugely successful. Through this series of workshops and seminars Best Boom! Strategies, a consulting firm located in Midtown was born.
