What Should I expect on the Math Placement Test?

The Math Placement Test is designed to test basic critical and analytical thinking skills. It is a 1 hour, 40 question test. All of the questions are multiple choice. Calculators are not allowed.

Items covered on the test require knowledge of arithmetic, basic algebra, basic geometry, coordinate geometry, and interpretations of graphs.

The test is scored on the number of correct answers. The raw score is converted to a scaled score. Thus, you should take this test seriously and you are strongly encouraged to review learned mathematical concepts before taking the test.
