The management information system (MIS) major is designed to educate future information systems professionals and managers who acquire a combination of business and technical skills to bridge the gap between the two worlds. This program is interdisciplinary in nature with specialized training in information systems, management, and information technology. After graduation, the MIS major can expect to find a job in a broad range of business information systems backgrounds and specializations including database management, system development, project management, and system consulting in various organizations.
