General Education Support Services (GESS) is a Paine College unit, which coordinates all general education functions of the Institution: testing, advisement, counseling, and other related activities. Basically, services focus on high school students and the College's freshmen enrollees. GESS consists of three general programs: namely, the General Education Development Center (GEDC), Student Support Services and Upward Bound. Each of these programs, in some way, carries out activities, which are associated with the general education component of the College's offerings.
